Attached to our roots
Life is not always the same for us, the environment we are born in, not necessary it will be the same for life long. Times will keep changing and with that so will our environment. This is my belief that in whatever circumstances we are born and from there whatever growth we achieve in life, one thing we must ensure is to keep attached to our roots and stay grounded. We may be born very poor and may be achieve a lot later on in life as grown ups, we may become very rich also, but still the home we were born in must never be looked down. Because we were born in that environment with a purpose, it was our own karma and we had to learn from there and grow, it is the test of life for us.
People who are born in poor conditions when they grow up and become rich, sometimes they forget where they have come from and look down on the same environment. I feel rather they should be more empathetic, but then they feel ashamed of their background and sometimes do not even want to disclose it to anyone. I feel rather they should proudly talk about it, there should be no shame in accepting where you come from. No matter whatever your present is, but past is important, because that's what gave you the drive to reach wherever you are today in the society.
Then there are some people, who accept but still are not humble, suddenly too much pride comes in to them for their achievements. Pride of achievements is good but it should not make you look down on others, then that pride is not good. Humbleness and empathy should always be there. Whenever my son becomes arrogant with some people, I always tell my son that he is born with a silver spoon but that was not the case for me. The conditions and house I was born in were miserable, there was a lot of struggle that I had to go through to reach wherever I am in life today. So he must also respect that and never look down on others, because that's where I have also come from. If he looks down on anyone lower then him then it's as good as looking down on me. He tells me some times that I am very dramatic, but then that's what I am.
For people who are born rich, they may not even understand certain things in life and from them we can expect arrogance and it can be justified to an extent. Life is not same for everyone, so whatever we achieve in life should be taken as a blessing and that should never allow us to make others feel any less. I just believe never forget your roots.
