RE: How much time do you spend on screens?
Yes far too long on screens and I always try to look outside the window periodically as I am at my desk a lot at work. Then at home! Basically on the whole time haha.
Yes it's important to rest the eyes but I think this "blue light" and radiation thing is a myth? Agree that it's up to the user to do what is necessary to protect eye health and of course have regular check ups with opticians 🙂

Radiation can be detected by devices so it's not a myth that they do emit radiation, but whether they cause damage or not is pretty much a myth. Lab results don't tell that they are harmful even after prolonged usage, anyways. Plus, light is a radiation by itself, lol.
Blue light on the other hand isn't really a myth, but it's just about the eye strain and sleep quality after using the screens. To be honest, filtering the blue light won't do much if your house is lightened up by white lights since they also contribute those wavelengths that keep you awake. The eyes will also feel more tired naturally with a filter like that because it tells them that it's night and it's time to get rest 😂 So some people like me love to use them, while some don't.
I haven't went to the opticians for quite some time... probably they will force me to change glasses again if I visit them 😂

OK, yea light radiation of course from the phone screen, it's a light source after all 😉 but phones go through rigorous testing before being released to the public so the radiation levels do not (or at least should not) exceed dangerous levels.
And blue light levels in phones, although do exist, are not at such the high levels that paranoia surrounding the issue suggests (there have been BBC bulletins about it all and blue light protection scams in the past) - again, not to the high levels that it causes damage.
Of course, if the lights are off and you are looking at a phone screen on full brightness then that will strain your eyes and it's recommended NOT to look at your phone 30 minutes before going to bed. Not because of eye damage but it keeps the brain far too alert and then keeps you awake longer.
All this talk of bed is making me want to sleep though haha 😂
