Not everyone in Florida lives that beach life

Not everyone in Florida lives that beach life . I live about 15 minute ride from the beach in Fort Lauderdale .
Don’t get me wrong I love the beach , I don’t live on the beach I live in the hood. I live in a neighborhood that s recuperating from years of poverty and drug abuse.
In the past 10 years there has been less crime less drug dealers lless hookers less crackheads it was a really bad neighborhood it’s gotten a lot better past couple of years ,anyway I live in an apartment complex and my backyard is an alley .

I have decided to kill some grass and plant some stuff I’ve got some cantaloupe , tomatoes, I got basil I got seeds that I threw on the ground avocado ,mango , coconut . I will also throw some seed from a bag of bird seed that I don’t even know what’s in it but it’s growing .

The leftover plywood that I used to cover my windows during hurricane is what I used to kill the grass it was very easy and simple .

Hi Pokerman what a great way to use the back alley and so great to see the happy face of Roscoe

Thanks man I wasn’t sure how many pictures was too many

Never too many! keep them coming!

Nice, a green thumb is good, I see its very green there, typical for Florida, here in California we have a problem with little water and rain fall.

Yes green 24/7. I used to live in New Mexico 20 years ago. Miss the seasons , the snow.
