Our gutters are 30' off the ground so the gutter guards were worth it. The doubled the cost, but never get clogged. I was too cheap to do the same on my workshop and have to muck them out twice a year. Once in the fall after the leaves drop and again in the spring after the oak pollen drops.

Watching the first rain gushing out of the downspouts after a gutter cleaning is very satisfying, though.
