When I quit smoking about 8 years ago, like a lot of people I started to gain weight. Fortunately some people around me encouraged me to get into exercise and this was able to keep the fat at bay. It starts to feel good doing it too. I'm glad you were able to stop that horrible habit even though we do not know one another.

I have not smoked for 141 days, I have gained about 3 kilos despite exercising, but it is not a big problem, I will start swimming next week, I will lose the fat I have gained, I believe I will even lose more weight. Quitting smoking was the hardest thing to do, fortunately I did it, and we know that we can achieve anything if we want to.
i tried and failed many many times before it actually worked. I think what motivated me to stick with it was because I am older now and you start to worry about the long-term effects and also because smoking is not so easy to do anywhere that I live anymore. Places where smoking is socially acceptable, it is probably very tough to stop.
