Moka Pot

Moka pot is a simple manual coffee making, Moka pot is claimed as the forerunner of modern espresso machine maker. Coffee brewed using mocha pot has a similar taste like espresso, but more viscous. This is one kind of manual coffee making that I love, because to make the best quality coffee many methods I have to prepare as shown in this picture. Moka Pot including old coffee tools, this tool is the forerunner of espresso machine that exist at this time.

Tools and materials:

Moka pot
Coffee powder
Glass

Step 1. Hot Water Filling

In brewing coffee using mocha pots, you should use hot water to keep the temperature stable so as to affect the quality of taste and aroma of coffee is well preserved. Avoid using drinking water with normal temperature or cold water because it will cause a charred odor due to drastic temperature spikes that occur during the brewing process. The amount of water that needs to be inserted into the mocha pot is enough to the size limit. The limit is usually marked by a screw-like shape.

Step 2. Adding Coffee Powder

The best coffee powder to be brewed using a mocha pot is a coffee powder whose size of roughness is at medium level. So the coffee powder is not too smooth or too rough. When you get confused, you can mimic the size of a fine kitchen salt powder. The use of coffee powder that is too fine or too rough can cause an overflow.

Step 3. Installation of All Sections

Place the second part of the pot mocha containing the coffee powder on top of the first section that has hot water. Then put the third part in the top position. Check once more to make sure all parts of the pot mocate are firmly installed. Make sure there is no sagging part because it can endanger your own. After that, put the mocha pot on the stove and light the fire with a medium size.

Step 4. Coffee brewing

During the coffee brewing process is in progress, you should always be in front and watching. Never leave behind because it is dangerous and cause the quality of coffee can be damaged if not handled properly. If the coffee water is visible out of the pipe, you can immediately attach the lid of the mocha pot. Wait for a few moments until the pot moka starts to make a roar and vibration. If it is, immediately turn off the flame on the stove. Wait a moment longer until the pot mocha does not rumble or vibrate again.

Step 5. Coffee Presentation

You can open the pot mocha cover. Do not hesitate to enjoy all the aroma it creates. The sign that you succeeded in making coffee with pot mores is that there are many krema that appear on the coffee. Please pour the coffee into your serving cup. Enjoy
