Tell Me What Makes a Man

Life is test and exam that keeps coming with different questions and you keep on answering, sometimes you don't weither you pass or fail and weither you are even sure of what you are doing and why you're doing it, but to me basically survival is a must as a man.

Many times I sit down and think deep all alone by myself that tell me what really makes a man? Some people will say it is money, others will say it is power, some even say it is how many women or children a man have. But for me, from what I have seen in life, a man is not just made by money or status, but by his character and how he handle life.

I remember growing up, I used to look at men that drive big cars and wear fine clothes as the real men. I thought once you have cash, you are already made it But later in life I see people with plenty money but no peace, no respect, even their family run away from them. Then I started to ask myself, is this what it means to be a man? All question to us all.

What makes a man first is responsibility. A man must be able to stand for something and take care of people around him. Even if you don’t have much, if you can show love and care to family, wife, children, friends, even neighbors, you are already building what a man should be. That's what should a man look likes.

Second thing is character. A man without truth is empty. If your words cannot be trusted, then your money or strength means nothing. I have met men who are poor but when they talk, everybody listen because they carry respect in their mouth and their action. But people are easily seems to be deceived by a rich man because of their wealth.

Also, a man should courageous to life obstacles and challenges ups and downs. Life is full of wahala, and many times fear will come, but a man must be ready to stand and face challenges. It does not mean he will not fall, but he will rise again and keep moving.

To me, what makes a man is not how much he shows off, but how much value he adds to people. A man is not measured by the size of his pocket, but by the size of his heart.

To say it finish a real man is not perfect, he will make mistakes, he will even cry sometimes, but he keeps pushing, keeps loving, and keeps standing strong. That is what I believe makes a man
