February 13, 2025. I left for Dhaka city with my sick father. Due to the increase in diabetes, the condition of my feet became worse. We all know that diabetes causes problems in various parts of the hands and feet. Similarly, one of my father's toes was rotted. So the doctors in our area Meherpur Kushtia told me to go to Dhaka for treatment. Because there is no treatment for it in the neighboring districts of our district. So I set off for the capital. It was a very sad moment for me. Going to the hospital with my sick father and getting treatment there was very difficult.

We had a lot of trouble reaching Dhaka city. Dhaka Jahangirnagar University was conducting exams that day. We faced a long traffic jam there for half an hour to an hour for the exam. We also had to face traffic jams at various places in Dhaka city such as Gabtoli, Technical intersection, etc. Due to this, it took us evening to reach the specific hospital. We were supposed to reach at noon. However, after reaching the hospital, I was surprised to see the condition of the road next to it, Dhaka Shahbagh. I was really surprised to see the traffic jam there. There was a lot of movement of people. I did not know that there were so many cars and their jams in Dhaka city.

When I first came to Shahbagh in Dhaka city, I was surprised. Then I had to spend a lot of time getting my father admitted to the hospital. Luckily, my younger uncle was with me. With his help, I was able to get my father admitted. Before that, I had no idea how to get admission. What to do and where to go in a new place was beyond my imagination. However, it felt great to have my younger uncle's help. The pain accumulated in my mind was reduced to some extent. But money in this city has no value. We are poor people. How can we spend money or where can we get money if we have such an illness? But when I came to the hospital, I realized that money has no value and people have no value. The more money we can spend, the more treatment we can get.

I got admitted with the help of my uncle. But the next day was Friday, a public holiday. This day was Shab-e-Barat, that is, Shab-e-Qadr. For which Saturday was also a holiday. Friday was World Valentine's Day, that is, February 14. On such a beautiful day, I would go around with my loved ones and exchange love, but that was not fortunate. That made me feel even worse. However, I was repeatedly praying for my father. I arrived in Dhaka city with 50,000 taka. But 50,000 taka seemed to fly away like water in a day or two. Each injection cost 1,300 taka. I had to give it three times a day. In addition, there were other medicines and doctor's expenses. I spent the day in such hardship. I will share the details in the next post.
