Is universalism for you synonymous with congruence, conformity? I prefer to understand it as diversity, versatility, complexity and compatibility. Many things go side by side and many paths lead to one - perhaps, but not necessarily common - goal.
A universal translator would be a tool that can understand and translate any language. It enables communication between individuals and groups that may be different but harmonise. In the best case... ;-))
