That's such a beautiful story! My parents have been married for 53 years and they are they example I've always held up of what a good relationship looks like. They have had more than their share of adversity, too, and it has never gotten in the way of how they love each other. Maybe that's the acid test for a relationship. It's easy to love each other and get along when things are going well, but how you deal with the tough things as a couple is what makes or breaks you. You two have obviously figured that part out, and cling to each other during the bad times rather than retreating to suffer in private. Congratulations on your long and happy marriage. It's not as easy as some make it look!

I'm glad things are better for you both now. The sadness is evident in the picture, and it's good to know it's gone now.

Thanks @goat-girlz for your nice comment. Fortunately my wife and I are able to make it work. I don't really know how, it just does.
