About Tor Day

Greetings, aging travelers!

Today, September the second, marks the day known as Tor Day!

'And what is Tor Day?!' - you may ask...

Today, some twenty something years ago, my dear brother Tor was born; yeah, it's not as mysterious as I started to make it feel like, but doesn't make it any bit less special.

Te amo, querido irmão ✨💙

And to celebrate, we went to one of his favorite Japanese-food restaurants, a delicious traditional place near us. I have to register here that it's definitely made my day (or my night!)

Who would've thought that it could be so good to be alongside your brother in his birthday, huh?

In other news, today I received more instructions about a new position I was accepted on, to be an online tutor for kids about Digital Creativity and 3D Modeling! I should receive the contract soon, after around three weeks of assessments and onboarding, it all seems to be worth it.

It's been more than two years since I left my last position as an Educator, and I'm really excited to have the opportunity to teach again. And I have to admit that I'm a bit scared, also. My last teaching cycle ended due to too many responsibilities at the same time, and even though it was actually positive, since I was able to properly finish of my Bachelor's degree, I still feel a bit worried that I may not be as well prepared as I should be to be tutoring again. But this is not the first time that I don't fully trust myself, and unfortunately I'm sure it's not the last, so I have to put in practice what I have already learned: to try and do the best I can in each moment.

In other news, this of the miscellaneous type, I've hit Diamond ranking on League of Legends: Wild Rift, also commonly known as Mobile LoL (or Mobile League), after more than three years since I hit it for the first time!

To be fair with myself, I hadn't really tried climbing ranked ever since, given that I really had tryhard too much in Summoner's Rift at the time because of an E-Sports championship my college's team was participating in. I was proud to be the Team Captain playing the Jungle role, and we only got silver because the tournament organization was so bad that we couldn't even get the info about which champions our opponents had played in their previous matches, thus making us have to ban blindly.

Rant over, I'd like to emphasize how cool it was to finally climb back to Diamond and be playing Blitzcrank in the decisive match! I'm fairly certain that the top stats in the following image are for this season's games, and the bottom are for my lifetime as Blitz; a 70% win rate this season, and 67% lifetime definitely made me feel good :)

And yeah, this boxing match skin is cool indeed!

I was just thinking about how much my dear brother would not like that I'm bragging about Mobile LoL achievements on a post referencing his birth day, but oh well, at least it made me laugh.

But all jokes aside, I really do love being his brother, laughing besides him, growing together. Life passes by so freakingly fast! We were just two boys the day before yesterday.
