[어두운 것은 반짝이기 위함입니다]
앞으로 어떤 일을 할까
내 인생을 어떻게 살까 고민하면서
세상의 모든 문제들을 혼자 끌어안고
절망과 희망 사이에서
괴로워한 적이 있지요.
마음의 이상과 눈앞의 현실에서
어느쪽을 택할까 망설이다가
결국 현실로 돌아서는 내 모습을
보면서 실망한 적이 있지요.
내가 잘못 한 것 같아
당장 사과 전화를 하고 싶지만
자존심도 상하고
마음이 정리되지 않아
전화기를 들었다 놓았다
하다가 끝내 전하지 못한
부끄러움이 마음에
많이 쌓여 있지요.
잠자리에 들면서
"바로 이거야" 싶은
기막힌 실마리를 찾았지만
다음날 아침이 되면
그것이 너무나 가벼워
다시 무거운 현실의 짐을 지고
집을 나선 적이 있지요.
"사랑한다고" 말하고 싶지만
그 고백이 그 사람의 아픔이 아니라
내 아픔이 될까 염려되어
아무말도 못하고
돌아 서면서 사랑하면서도
어쩌지 못하는
나의 이기심에 몸서리친 적이 있지요.
내주변 모든 사람을 아끼고
사랑하며 좋은점만 보자고
다짐하지만 어느새
"그 사람은.." 하고 소근대는
제 자신에 실망한 적이 있지요.
누군가를 믿고 가까이 다가가고 싶지만
한발작 내디딜 적마다 의심이 생겨
나중엔 "아무도 믿지 못하는 게 아닐까"
나를 의심한 적이 있지요.
아무리 아름다워도
흔들리지 않는 꽃은 없고
아무리 반짝여도
어둠에 갇히지 않는 별은 없습니다.
우리가 흔들리는 것은
꽃을 피우기 위함이고
우리가 어두운 것은
반짝이기 위함입니다.
