I agree with you that the financial rewards won't be the pure incentive; however, I could definitely see Steemit as a gateway into the world of blockchain technology. Gary understands the power of blockchain, but he has said that he doesn't fully understand the inner workings. Steemit is an opportunity for him to begin using blockchain technology by doing something that is very familiar to him: producing content.
