Awe man, what's wrong with some people? It's the same here.. My friends uncle has boar on his land, and he was like "yes, you can hunt it!... I'll only charge you 600 dollars."
I can buy a farmed pig for less than that and it kind of makes me feel slutty paying to hunt... it like mutts the word.
I would be glad to ask my family to tell their friends that you would like to hunt on their land if you're up for it. In town they're mostly in plano and richardson... not sure where the "land" friends are but for one family, the orrs, they're north of all that (which might be just great for ya?)

It's cool because they're one of the few things we're allowed to hunt here without a license.
The problem has gotten so bad that the state government has started putting out poison called wharfarin. It kills the pigs and turns their fat blue so folks know it's tainted. There's a huge movement against it because of the implications of poisons getting into unintended places, including water sources and livestock.
I'll send message to my folks now and see if they come up with some spots for you! Thats wild about the poison... it makes my brain hurt to think that there's people starving there, and they poison a super viable food source... doesn't make sense!
I sent my mom a bbm message, so once she's got some wifi she'll receive it. I know her friend was saying that they had a trail camera set up in their front yard and got a video of two hogs going at it in their garden.. So it should be a good spot to gather bacon! I'll keep you posted.
