RE: Aikido - The Art of Peace | A Short Introduction - Part 1
Nice post. Resteemed.
Still, the "attackers" in the presentation
do not attack very realistic.
What is better for weapon defense...
Aikido or Krav Maga?
hey luca,
thanks for sharing your impression. I have never heard of Krav Maga so I couldn't tell you. Will take your comment as the basis for the next part in this series as it is a common objection to Aikido videos.
Aikido teaches sword techniques as regular part of the training, as well as how to defend against knives and guns. But I imagine form what I have seen that the principles apply to any sort of weapon like a club or anything that is thrusted or swung.
Will check out Krav Maga. All the best to ya <3
Invented by the israeli Military Krav Maga
seems to be pretty effective, for "real"
situations.
You find a lot of material on YT...
Enjoy your day ;)
