South Florida was off last week thanks to a postponement with Florida Atlantic, giving them an extra week to game plan for the Bearcats.
The Bulls hope that will help them spring the upset on the road over a ranked foe.
Against Notre Dame, South Florida was whipped soundly as they were blanked while letting the
Fighting Irish beat them into the ground. The Bulls were down 14-0 midway through the first
quarter and things got worse from there. South Florida had just one drive get inside the Notre
Dame 25-yard line, which stalled at the 19 with just over 12 minutes to play. In the contest, the
Bulls were outgained 430-231, gave up 21 first downs while picking up 11 and held a minuscule
30:04 to 29:56 edge in time of possession. Neither side committed a turnover in the game.
