Can music improve your IQ?
Once I saw an interview with a world-leading brain researcher and when he was asked what he would do to improve the IQ of his child he answered 'make him listen to classical music'. We still do not quite understand why but classical music has a very good effect on our nerves and IS ABLE to harmonize the functions of our brain. While it is basically impossible to improve IQ after a certain age (we are born with a certain mental capacity and while it is possible to improve it to a certain limited extent in an early age, it remains constant after we have grown up), it is yet possible to increase our attention span, level of concentration and a number of similar mental functions that are also part of our thinking and decision-making processes. So the EFFICIENCY of our brain CAN be improved by listening to classical music. (Live music is better than the recorded one because digital recordings simplify the sound and transform the nice, curved sound into cubic-shaped digital curves.)
