That was pretty much a bust, all the first 10 feet of soil were on the bottom of the pile and all I could really get at without digging was pure clay, they had a pit dug over 20 feet deep and I could see the old broken clay sewer conduit and a new pvc one they had replaced it with,
I couldnt get to any good dirt without digging and it started to rain so it was getting to where I was starting to make a mess so I gave up empty handed. Oh well, they still have to rip up the sidewalks when the gas line guys get to my block so I should have lots more chances to detect soon, and closer to the surface, plus there will be time between when the big hole is backfilled and when the street and sidewalk guys come so the good dirt will end up on top again and I'll get a crack at it.
One super weird thing is that before any of this digging happened, last night, I had a dream about this, the memory got triggered when I looked into the hole and saw the utilities. Anyway thanks for reading this random ass post whoever sees this.
