Israeli Interception of Gaza Aid Flotilla:

On October 1–3, the Israeli Navy seized the Global Sumud Flotilla, including the Polish-flagged vessel Marinette, in international waters. The flotilla, carrying humanitarian aid from activists in 44 countries (including Greta Thunberg), aimed to break the Gaza blockade. Hundreds were detained, sparking global condemnation for alleged violations of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. This comes amid the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel, with memorials held in affected kibbutzim like Kfar Aza.
