Congrats on the 3 month mark, and welcome back to writing!
I saw Steemit as an opportunity to make money - rather than to add value. It is that. No doubt. But my motivation went so much against who I am.
Don't take that too much against yourself. Self-interest will always be among the highest priorities for us, even when our moral priories are different!
True, my friend. It's just that the primary motivator ought to be to add value - the reward follows.... :)
we should expect to receive value from the work we do; maybe not a $100 payout on Steemit every post ;>, but some recognition of the value we provide
if the value we receive is self-worth, that is good! If a few cents accrue here and there on top of that, even better
As long, of course, as we offer value. Most of my followers do! You certainly do!
