I love history. It's one of the reasons I love the Mishnah - it's packed with historical snapshots from the world of Yeshua and his disciples!
I agree, anyone who loves Yeshua would be interested in learning about the time and culture of His day. Of course He transcends time and culture, but it's important for us to understand the context of His words and deeds.
