Right, Tether remains about at $1. As soon as any Japanese or South Korean exchange offers it, then it will be reasonable to take advantage of locational arbitrage. Maybe tether could help. I am as ready for this as when @thejohalfiles or @gigafart start blogging.

Yeah, hopefully every currency will get its own version of tether, until currencies die out at least I see this to be the case. Before, people were running into problems because of having to apply for a bank accounts in SK or JPY which can be stringent for foreigners. Tether will allow us to bypass having to set up any bank account. Great future opportunity

I love telling people that noone controls bitcoin, especially when some moron tells me that "Bitcoin is going to be sued" hahahah or "That lawsuit againt bitcoin" and could u even imagine if u created a system lie bitcoin where you never got paid a dime from anyone and they go after YOU? that would be like going after the bit torrent creator for all the piracy and software music and movie theft bittorent causes lol
Anyway do u see my point though about how bitcoin is just allowing all the central bankers to breath, now that they knwo they will totally be able to slowly just start oving all their worthless fiat paper into crypto currency, and by the time they start telling their own customers that crypto currency is ok to invest in they will have already bought billions of dollars worth of it.....
eventually u wont be able to make incrdible gains with bitcoin, it will just stabilize at around the million dollar range but eventually youll just use bitcoin to simply hedge against inflation
we wont have inlation anymore
can u imagine how much extra wealth will come by just ending inflationary money alone???
not to mention the benefits from having instant an almost free transactions anywhere around the world, especially when they build bitcoin node backups unerground , in orbit on the monnd on mars that have backups of the full blockchain so incase theres a disaster on earth you can always have a snpshot of who had what eve if people loose private leys, haha we need a system to make sure people backup private keys on papeer incase of solar flare,
because some idiots think a solar flare is all u need to wipe out bitcoin, even if it wiped out peoples wallets, some people would still have their paper wallets, and those peopel would simply have all the bitcoinnow and wuld be able to reddistribute it out to whoever can prove what they had, it would be like abig reset button, but whoever had a paper backup would be fine, and so yeah alot of peopel wold loose their keys but the bitcoin sytem would still be running as long as tteher were two nodes running even if they were two satelites in space!
And tether is the best way to offer a fiat gate way without having banking regulations associated with fit! of course the government will try to then crack downon tether but its just a blockchain cryptocurrency that anyone can use, and yeah if you loose the ability to convert tether to cash directly from tether side that ay remain a problem, i guess tether has more centarlization problems than ripple right? well actually tether could be decentralized if you think about it
bitcoinis becoming that fiat backup haha on its own! but tether offers a fiat backup for people that also is as easy as crypto currency to move around!
We could offer a decentralized maarket based tether that works off darknet style local biitcooin type sites where people offer to always convert a special tether crypto currency automarically for cash at certain ATms maybe it coul be very simple to ddeal with using ATMs that diispens cash when u use master card visas like prepaid visas and debit cards
god this is the future, its right there!
Bitpay already IS a bitcoind debitcard bt if u had a Tether debit card and special ATMs or ANY atms realy.... like in the future you will be able to ave a tether prepaid debitt card etc but by then debit cards will be used still bfor legacy equipment bt alll ddebit card networks will now be built off the blockchain, so youll still be able to use those debit cards but they will all be moe hightech, and there could be a new service that allows you to buy any prepaid debit card, and then have it loaded from anywhere using bitcoin and then you can use tether to send money from prepaid to prepaid! Its like all the puzzle pieces are here! We could even have it so u could take out cash for a fee using any ATM, because face it ALL ATMs all debit cards and mastercards all have the same network becaus one ATM card works in any atm machine aeven around the world! Well im sure there must be some incompatibilities but Fintech of financial technology has been atthe cusp of this for a while!
But yeah all the pieces are theer! we could build something amazng with prepaid debt cards an tether and bitcoin!
like combine bitpay debit card and tether and an exchange and u could ave a carrd that leets you buy AND sell too if we can connect the deot carrd scanners that square uses pwe could allow people to sell bitcoins an crypto currencies to their friends using cards! anyay i think its all there its justa mattter of time before people do all this
and yeah using tether to go from exchange to exchangs is brilliant
i was wondering if people go from one exchange, like polonieex, when bitcoin is higher on coinbase than it is on polonex u can use litecoi or ethereum to go between the echanges, and just buy where its cheaper sell where its lower, but yeah those pesky fees!
if we could make a tethered crpto currrency with ebit cards wthout fees it would be amzng steem could do it!
