Also need to push more places to hold and exchange Steem.. especially specialty foreign exchanges... and Shapeshift does not directly support Steem... we should push for them to support it.
well I do believe shapeshift did support steem at one point but took it out cuz it was so rarely used? but they DO have sbd and steem somewhere because of this APi and teh article i coul have sworn i sa something HERE look https://steemit.com/steemit/@shapeshiftio/official-announcement-shapeshift-has-added-steem-to-the-exchange
Did they go back onthis ? I think they did right they adde it but then took it off cu of inactivity?

However the rate call in the API gives a close to current market price... I might try to place an API order later and see if it rejects it.
Last several times over the previous month I tried the regular webpage a search for Steem returned nothing.
