I was at the age where I was only allowed to use it under supervision, otherwise, I still wouldn't be able to sit down by now.
Our letter was D, in a large crowd where it was easy to get lost, Dad would "Shepherd" whistle the letter D, so you knew where to go to, quickly, or else.

I think there may still be a pay phone down town still, will try and get down for a look tomorrow.
