RE: The Legend of Lawn Chair Larry
Very intriguing and wonderfully unique story. Definitely can't knock the guy for pursuing his dreams.
He was a pioneer in his own right to try such a hasty and innovative method of flight.
I pictured myself as a Boeing 757 pilot flying nearby and seeing him afloat with all those weather balloons. It must have been a crazy sight indeed.
And I'm sure he was pretty cold over 16,000 feet in the air. I've skydived from 15,000 feet before.
Was pretty exhilarating and unforgettable to say the least, but I couldn't imagine being afloat without any plan or parachute to ensure my Safety.
Salute to him for chasing his dream in a very historically unorthodox fashion.
Great story, definitely upvoted.
My dream is simply to allow my music to be a guide for all future generations and to make a positive impact in every opportunity possible. It is always better to give something positive than to quickly take generosity when it shows its character through someone kindhearted.
Even in my short stories or poems I hope to spark some influential ideas for a good outcome. Words are powerful indeed and we can either build or destroy. I keep my family in mind always with my words and actions likewise.
Great comment. Thanks for taking the time to connect. I love your passion for your craft, and particularly your vision for the next generation. I look forward to hearing more from you :)
