RE: [Movies] Cloverfield Direct Sequel Coming To Theatres Soon
I loved cloverfield as well as 10 cloverfield road which while it could have been a stand alone film had some continuity going for it! Cloverfield paradox left the connections purely up the imagination of the fans and while an enjoyable watch didn’t really add much to the franchise and explored concepts that didn’t really fit with the last two
I’d really like to see a more direct sequel that could reallt tie together all the movies and wrap up the series as a whole
Just wanna say thank you for your comment, nice to meet another Cloverfield fan!
10 Cloverfield Lane really was a really enjoyable film, like you say even just as a stand alone movie. I'll be honest and say I quite like the fact that paradox opens things up to the viewers imagination, I wrote my own theory on the Cloverfield Multiverse, I'm curious to hear what you make of it. Thinking about it, if they hadn't put that massive Clover monster at the end, I'd probably have been quite disappointed. It wasn't a great film, the fact it was dumped straight onto Netflix speak volumes, but I still enjoyed it. It could have been a lot worse!
The franchise definitely needs a direct sequel though, I think it's what the fans have been wanting all along. I was curious to see how Nazi zombies would fit into it all, but hey we've still got Overlord to look forward to!
