RE: Movie Review: Bill and Ted Face the Music

There's a huge controversy going on about that right now. I kind of like the idea--I'm ready for another John Wayne movie. On a more personal note, I just finished the first draft of a mystery novel in which a John Wayne impersonator appears who looks EXACTLY like the real thing--it would be great to see that in a movie version.

There was a movie in which a director created an actor using virtual reality, and she was so real everyone thought she really existed. It backfired on him, of course. I think it was called Simone.

Sort:

I know Simone - or Sim One - as well, but its not the movie I mean. This one is just a few years old, and much... well, weirder. Its about a woman movie star - or a former star rather, because she has aged and is not matching the roles she was famous in anymore - who sells her soul, you could say. She gets a lot of money and in return she is totally scanned in, her look, the way she moves, talks and so on. And she has to agree to retire, never act in person again.
You see, its not a comedy, rather a pretty creepy SF.

Yep--sounds creepy, all right.
