Disney Re-Releasing Avengers: Endgame in a bid to outpace Avatar as the highest grossing movie of all time..
Traditionally, I'm not much of a comic book fan, but I have followed Marvel's Cinematic Universe and seen a good portion of the 22.. soon to be 23.. movies released under the MCU banner..
I have enjoyed most of them, and really like the concept of the same characters interacting and making appearances in the films to tie them together..
Of course, it seems like the Disney global take over is insatiable.. and in an attempt to take all top slots, Marvel Chief, Kevin Feige has just announced that Avengers 4 will be rereleased in theaters with additional deleted footage added in..
Yes, after running the rumor mill, speculation has been confirmed that a rereleased version of Avengers Endgame will hit theaters on June 28th, next week. While denying this was an extended cut, the Marvel CEO said in an interview with Screenrant that:
"if you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there'll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises." src
Apparently there will be 7 minutes of bonus content post credits, including a tribute to the late, great, Stan Lee himself.
As soon as the rerelease was confirmed, fans flocked to twitter with an army of memes and gifs. Some claim that the decision is not to overtake Avatar in box office records, but rather to bolster Disney's summer line-up, which includes Toy Story 4 and Spiderman: Far From Home..
To me it seems like Hollywood bigwigs blowing smoke up their own a$$e$.. Disney already rules the world with a net worth of nearly $130 billion, and the only thing they are looking to bolster is their own egos.. Sure, they may break the record, they may not, but I would reckon this is a ploy for the longer game..
Another Disney film, Star Wars: Force Awakens, holds the box office record domestically.. no one is going to touch that anytime soon.. and :surprise: surprise:, just last month, Disney Land opened the biggest expansion to their theme parks in the form of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The place is premium and comes packed with a premium price tag to match.. Just take a look at the Merch they are peddling there, some of the items are going a $25,000 a piece and people are buying them!!
[you don't have to be Scrooge McDuck to figure out what's fueling Disney's latest moves..]src
Well, then it's no wonder that Disney is planning on giving Spidey and his pals the same treatment.. the Mouse and Co. have recently announced their intent to open up Marvel Universe immersive themed lands in all of their parks in the near future. Starting next year, 2020, is the slated time table to finish, and they aren't wasting any time.. having acquired the permits and started construction on two of the parks already!!
I for one think the rerelease is a pathetic ploy to eke out a few more million to line some pockets as well as keep public interested generated while they continue to extend their reach.. Personally, I will NOT go see it again, and will wait for someone to release the bonus footage online.. I'm tired of Hollywood and friends inability to know when to let sleeping dogs lie..

[*sorry, not sorry for the hulk out.. just found this whole new story ridiculous and had to vent!]src
What do you think? Maybe I'm missing something.. will you go see the rerelease of Avengers Endgame? Do you think Hollywood, Disney, and Co. are being greedy and manipulative? Or.. is it just business? Sound off in the comments below*
