RE: MOVIE REVIEWS: Two Films by Directors Abel Ferrara and Paul Schrader

Hi Travis! I've noticed that since your involvement here on the Steem, you've never cashed out any of your earned Steem, but you haven't powered up either.... Do you know how to do that? Besides, you only blog, but curation would also bring you a return (the more SP you have, the higher it is...) If you don't want to vote yourself, there are auto voters or trails you can join... If you have any questions, please get in touch ;-)) Have a nice evening!

Hi there. Thanks for writing. I honestly don't completely understand the "power up" process. I tried reading about it when I first joined and got a little lost... how does curation work?

Hi Travis, nothing could be easier ;-))

What you have in liquid STEEM in your account, you convert into SP during the Power Up. They are still yours, you just can't access them immediately (a ‘withdrawal’ is then made in four instalments over four weeks...)

You go to your STEEM in the wallet:

Choose the amount you want to SP. You give the confirmation via Private Active Key.

The more SP you have, the more your vote is worth (the more Curation Rewards you receive).

Curation / Voting means first of all reading the posts of others and clicking on the small green upvote button at the end of each post or comment. From a certain level of SP, I think 500, you will see a slider with which you can set the amount of your vote (as a percentage).

In turn, everyone is happy about comments, even discussions... At least I see that as an essential part of curation.

If you don't have enough time or interest in the blogs of other Steemians, a number of users and communities offer voting trails. You can also delegate your SP, i.e. make it available to someone else.

Even in this case, it remains your stake and you receive interest on it. Withdrawing a delegation takes 5 days, then you have your SP back in the wallet yourself.

I hope I have been able to shed some light on the subject. If not: I'm here ;-))
