Unless you know what you're doing.. don't take my structure and style of vlogging as an example to imitate.
Having a dash mount to use as tripod is perfect.. the problem for me is that it works against my style. My shots are always framed tight, up close and personal. This leaves you no choice but to feel the energy from my intense emotional stare.
I checked the video out. It looks like he is about as nervous as you huh? :-)
I get what you mean about going into the school with him. It can leave you pretty frazzeled pretty quick.
But the cool thing is you don't have to go in on the first day. You can meet him after school, and each day be a bit further inside. surprise him one day and meet him outside the classroom.
The important thing to remember is that in Ethan's eyes you are already awesome, because you're his dad.
The Osmo is perfect for that. The the video I linked to I had my arm out quite a bit. It's not like a selfie stick that you extend, it's designed to be held quite close to you.
I think you'd like it. (No I don't work for Osmo hehe. This is just my latest fun toy and it works quite well)
