For the purpose of this Learning Challenge, I will share a movie called; KARMA. It is a South Korean crime series movie.

The Main Idea of the Movie; Karma

Just as the name implies, the logic of this movie is that; every action has consequences either good or bad. In the story, each of the character are tied and linked together by a shared history in the past that is related to guilt, buried secrets and of course deep betrayal. In future, each of them were forced to face the consequences of their past actions; karma caught up with all depending on their deeds. Justice was served, revenge was had, the idea that you can't escape your past came reflecting accordingly.

Plot and Setting of the Movie ( Karma)

This movie is a physiological crime-thriller that evolve around different strangers who are connected together unknowingly by violent crime and betrayal from the past.

The first plot begins with a found burned alive in a warehouse abandoned building, other bodies were discovered but already completely burnt. Who could be alive because three people were in the building?!

The plot keeps rewinding step by step with a web of betrayal, crime and guilt all from a failed hit and run fake accident that was supposed to kill Park Jae-yeong's wealthy father over an insurance money just so the son could claim it in order to settles great debt. He was owing a ruthless organ harvester who gives him few days to pay off the debt or else he will pay with his organs.

An hired killer was pulled into the crime who brought in Kim Beom-jun to get the job done after hitting the old man with car. Kim Beom-jun brought in his lover and accomplice who was used to frame Dr. Han Sang-hun to help them cover up the incident. After several blackmails, the doctor murdered her while Kim Beom-jun murdered the doctor at the same spot.

While Park Jae-yeong was still struggling to get the money, the hired killer was also disturbing for his percentage since the father was already death. He had no other option than to kill the hired killer but fate changed everything. Kim Beom-jun came there, killed the hired killer, tied up Park Jae-yeong, took his belongings and set the abandoned warehouse on fire. Unfortunately, he (Kim Beom-jun ) was trapped and got burnt but was taken to the hospital on time while Park Jae-yeong died.

The plot keeps unfolding and the past crime resurface. Kim Beom-jun changed his identity to that of Park Jae-yeong so to collect the insurance money but unfortunately, everything was given to charity.

Now, he has to pay for the stolen identity. The surgeon who is battling with past childhood trauma and it turned out that the real Park Jae-yeong raped her in the past and she tried to kill the fake Park Jae-yeong but she couldn't. At the end, Kim Beom-jun paid for the sins of Park Jae-yeong, the organ harvester came for him and the doctor in charge of the harvesting is a friend to the surgeon girl so he couldn't let him go. He revenge for his friend. Kim Beom-jun paid for another person's sins and his own KARMA caught up with him too.

The movie was satisfying to watch, I don't think there's anything different I would have done because the messages were conveyed perfectly through the storyline according to the title.
