I feel for the people of New York. So many people depend on the rails to get to work so they can feed their families. The city has been dragging their feet on the problem for far too long.

I have a lot of family in New York and none of them will move to the city because they're concerned about their abilities to get to their place of employment reliably while taking on the higher cost of living. Instead, they stay in where they get paid less, but the cost of living is also lower and they know they can get to work.

Seriously. Getting to work should not be that difficult!
