Mujibnagar, the first train of the political resistance of our liberation war. The first government sworn in independent Bangladesh began on April 17, 1971 in Amarkan, the independent, sovereign state of the state structure. Mujibnagar Memorial has been set up in memory of this memorable monument.
On 26 March 1971 Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared independence. After three weeks, the huge Ambagan area, known as Baidyanathtala, was declared as the temporary capital of Bangladesh by 'Mujibnagar'. In order to free Bangladesh from the occupation of the Pakistani occupation army, the Liberation War was conducted under the leadership of the Mujibnagar government. Which will see:
Entering the main gate will see the Liberation War Memorial Complex. 66 acre large aesthetic aesthetic complex has been added to a museum, auditorium, adjoining plaza, freedom club, library, rest house, helipad, picnic spot etc. The main complex is rotated around a four-storied high-rise building, which has a wide corridor for visitors to each floor. Standing down the corridor, we see a huge map of Bangladesh.
How to go
The distance between the capital Dhaka and Meherpur Sadar is 312 kilometers. It will take 6 to 7 hours for different routes to reach Meherpur by road. There are two ways to travel. Meherpur via Gabtali to Daulatdia-Paturia or Meherpur via Gabtoli, Jamuna Bridge. Then go to Mujibnagar on a domestic bus from Meherpur. Distance is about 16 kilometers The buses of Jahan Transport, Meherpur Deluxe, Chuadanga Deluxe and Shyamoli Paribahan from Kalyanpur and Gabtali of Dhaka are directly going to Meherpur and Mujibnagar.
