I only played a few times. My professors didn't want me to play during my project because I wouldn't have been able to see the big picture. So I only got to play when I went back a couple times afterwards. And I've since moved away from DC. It was fun, but I wasn't particularly good at it... It was hard for me to keep track of where I was and follow along. Trying to play myself only made me respect the skilled players that much more.
