There are many types of drum pads, depending on the ones you wish to construct, or depending on your purse/ wallet. The above picture is a DW Drum Pad. Pad constructed with a single stand,balancing the stand with three stand branch at the base just like normal cymbals and hi-hat, alternatively the stand.

It might not be as the first one but also up to the task till you can afford the good ones for practice. Rehearsal is the key to perfection in drums (if (perfection) there is at all).
