Another great and powerful lyrics. It's sad to know that Curtis, the lead singer, committed suicide shortly afterwards.
Joy Division released only 2 (great) albums and a few (great) singles before disbanding owing to Ian's death. One can only wonder what they could have achieved.
The surviving members of Joy Division formed a new band, called New Order, which became one of the more renowned and respected bands of the 1980s and onwards.
Glad to learn about this splendid band. A NeW Social Order is a fine name. I hoped they really achieved the social order or at least attempted to achieve it.
They only created music for a few years, about 40 years ago (!!!!!!), but it still sounds fresh, inspired, and even "contemporary."
Clearly, those young men made some great art.
