'Cloven Prints...' - Original Music - Throwback Tune - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough

I have nothing new that I really

wanted to share; been just exploring a lot of those new synth libraries recently, so most of the tracks I've posted to Soundcloud are sort of just for me to listen to on various sound systems/speakers/headphones to hear what I like/don't like for future reference. I figured today would be a good day for a throwback tune, as I was recently going back through old songs to find some to submit for the 'Steemix', on MSPWaves Radio, so I sort of remember what I have to choose from. But, after 3 years of writing (well, at least trying to write) songs everyday, there is a lot to go through.

This song is from two years ago,

and is a song I initially shared here, then returned to a few weeks later, and tried to fix up. At the time, I was still using Ableton 9, though 10 was available, so a lot of instruments that I had downloaded or had shared with me weren't useable. I was confined in my choices of sounds, but I think sometimes that helped to find unique ways to use more basic things. Unfortunately, I didn't know how to really 'mix' anything via Ableton, aside from basic volume/velocity adjustment, so I essentially paid no attention to EQing, compression, limiting, etc. This resulted in some muddy sounds, which I (one day) need to revisit and try and clean up a bit.
