'Robo Goop' - Original Music - Throwback Song from 3 Years Ago - Electronic/Instrumental + Walkthrough

I don't have anything new that I feel

is worth sharing, so I figured I'd go back and find a throwback tune to use. I went back to one of the first Soundclouds I made, just after I signed up for Steemit. At this time, I had just gotten my own copy of Ableton, after having only used the DAW with my friend Anthony on his laptop for a few months, so I was still getting to know the whole application, and how everything worked. I also had a really limited instrument/sample library, which consisted of a few of the default, included Ableton packs, and some random stuff from my friend (a JDilla sample kit, some random synths, and that was about it).

This song stood out as I was

going through the old Soundcloud, and seemed like a good choice. At the time I wrote this, I never spent any time with mixing/mastering in any way, and just used Ableton to write tunes, so I think most of the issues with these old songs could easily be fixed with a little effort on that front. I still really like the vibe of this track, and would like to go back and check the original Ableton session, as some of these synths sound really cool. We're in a minor key the whole time, moving between the i and the iv, but there is also a little lead line which use a Dorian sort of sound, which gives it a bit more of a mysterious sound, rather than the straight, 'morose' sort of minor vibe that those two chords on their own would imply.
