The plant belongs to the hemp family. It has been known since the 14th century. It was cultivated in monasteries for the needs of the state. After Henry VIII Tudorm became king and issued a decree on the closing of many monasteries, another decree was issued stating that each farmer should sow 1/6 of his hemp site, which after ripening was delivered to the state . The most widespread at that time was hemp in shipbuilding.

The hemp fibers were made of thread, from which the sails were then sewn, which were distinguished by their high strength, lightness and reliability. The males of the plants are usually smaller than the females; on the contrary, the females are more magnificent and larger. The males are called "habits" or "roosters", but the females "females" or "materki". Annual, dioica, herbaceous plant that reaches 2 m in height, has a ramified vertical stem, whose thickness is up to 0.3 m.

The leaves on the upper part are deep, palmate, alternate, with lanceolate lobes of large teeth, on the opposite lower part. The masculine flowers are of five members, in the pedicels, of light green color, collected in a branched paniculate inflorescence; Female: forms a spike inflorescence, with a rudimentary flower garden in the armpits of the upper leaflets. The root has a pivotal system, with many lateral roots, the rod enters the ground at a depth of almost 2 m. A powerful root system that allows the plant to have such growth.

The fruit is a seed of a small form hidden in the shell, called hemp seed. Hemp blooms at the beginning of summer, that is, in June and July. The seeds are harvested after flowering, which allows the seeds to mature and moderately behind the plant. This hour only falls at the end of the summer, from August to September. The seed mass is not big. It can be calculated, knowing that 1000 seeds weigh only about 25 g. It grows in Western Siberia, the Volga region, in Altai, in the European part of Russia. Today, this plant is grown in almost every country. Officially, the plant is allowed to grow and be used only in Colombia.

In other states, growth, consumption, distribution or storage are penalized. The plant is not very susceptible to sunlight, but neither does it accept a permanent shadow. Hemp prefers moderately light spots on the site. On hemp stalks there is up to 25% hemp fiber - hemp. This raw material is stronger than linen, but it is less elastic. This fiber is used to make ropes and catch strands, wires, ropes, strings, tarps and technical fabrics. Of the plants they collect only the cups, blooming only in female individuals.

They are being knocked down, trying not to crush them, so that the resin of the plant does not flow in vain. Then, the resulting raw material is dried under a canopy or in the shade, mixing occasionally. In the dryer, the hemp can be dried at a temperature not higher than 60 ° C. The resulting dry product is grinding, making small sheets of leaves and cones. The seeds are placed in a pre-moistened cotton for a period of up to 3 weeks, depending on the germination. At this time, the site for planting should be dug to a depth of approximately 25 to 30 cm.

The site is selected depending on the exposure to the site of the sun. The place should not be banned by trees. After germination, the seeds are planted in pots or cups and grown as seedlings. At this time it is necessary to water the plant as the soil dries. The outbreak should not be more than 15 cm. The distance between the bushes should be at least 40 cm.

Of the entire cannabis plant for medical and medicinal purposes, apply the upper part of the females and the young leaves. The medical use of cannabis is very limited. Not all countries can use hemp as a medicinal raw material. This is allowed only in the United States and the District of Columbia. Also in states such as: California, Colorado, Washington, Montana, Arizona, Alaska, Nevada, New Mexico, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont, Delaware, Maine, Hawaii, Michigan and Washington.

Active substances that hemp contains: resin, fatty oil, vitamin K, cholesterol, choline, sugars, saponins, edestine, alkaloids, phytocides, essential ether, carotene, tetrahydrocannabiol, cannabidiolic acid, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. Cannabis seeds contain: tar, up to 40% fatty oil, vitamin K, cholesterol, choline, sugar, saponins, edestine. The leaves and young shoots contain alkaloids, phytomids, essential oils and carotene. In the pre-revolutionary period and in domestic medicine, hemp extracts and tinctures were used as sedatives, analgesics and also as light hypnotics. This plant has anti-inflammatory, soothing, sedative, hypnotic and also analgesic properties. The juice of the leaves or buds of hemp is used as a laxative and as a carrier agent. For kidney disease, as a diuretic for cystitis and as a sedative, as well as for a strong cough, take 100 ml 40 minutes before eating. Hemp pills have a soothing and analgesic effect and are prescribed for rheumatism, boils and edema.

During the Second World War, soldiers, especially at the landing party, were issued at the time of receiving the mission a portion (50-70 g) for each soldier. It was this plant that helped some soldiers who were injured during the battle not to die of pain, but to overcome it, to reach the desired point.

Plants, hemp families of frequent use form an addiction. Hemp causes headaches and darkens vision. It is also harmful to the gastrointestinal tract. Scientists from all over the world have noticed that hemp, marijuana or any of its components dry the masculine seed in a strong and permanent way and man becomes sterile. Excessive doses lead to symptoms such as tremor of the extremities, increased sweating, nausea, tachycardia, fainting and dizziness. The overdose also affects the central nervous system: a person sees "failures", "freezing", "betrayal", "obsessive ideas" and "paranoia". The difficulty to speak and the speed of thought, the intense hallucinations, the coordination of the movement is significantly altered or the partial immobility. The very short term memory caused by a plant after consumption does not contribute to the logic. The penal code prohibits the cultivation, storage or sale of any raw material of the hemp family.
