I am running older Linex, and need to upgrade. I am on 13.02 ubuntu; and the new version is 18.2, so I will put the new version in my new computer. The old version is about 7 years old, and is no longer supported with updates.
If it were windows, viruses would have destroyed several versions by now, LOL!

Hey, we have an old laptop, a Toshiba, it runs good but it's about 10 years old
and I can't download anything because the message comes up saying it's version
is obsolete. Can we get a newer version for free?
Yes, get a new version on Ubuntu that matches the bus width (32 bit likely), and it will run well. I would but a copy (for copy costs) off of Ebay, and just load it. It will guide you through the setup.

So get a copy of Ubuntu (Linex OS Ver 18.02) off of Ebay for copy costs ($8.00). Get a disk with both 64 bit, and 32 bit versions. The setup will help you through it.
