La vendemmia si avvicina
Hello my dear friends! I hope you're well and that everything is going well. Unfortunately, I only manage to post so few times here to share with you because, as you know, I'm moving and doing some relocation. But just recently, since it was a beautiful day and the temperatures were perfect, I decided to take a walk in the fields near my house, which, as you know, is a vineyard area.
You know that September in Italy is harvest time. It's the time when the farmer finally reaps the fruits of his labor and harvests the grapes to make wine. So, I was very happy to take a walk in these places because I saw that this year too, the grapes ripened very early, already at the end of August, because the temperatures are always higher.
As you know, Italy exports approximately €8.1 billion worth of wine worldwide, so we can confidently say we're a major exporter, and this crop has become incredibly popular lately, partly because it provides a good income for farmers, who have recently even set up their own wineries to sell their wine directly.
Of course, with these climate changes, the grape harvest is no longer in September but in August, and I must say that these areas near my home have been quite fortunate, as some fields nearby were damaged by hail that fell due to the heavy storms we've had in recent months.
Who knows if this economy tied to grape cultivation, and therefore wine production, will change in the coming years due to the tariffs imposed on Europe. We must also consider that the main importer of Italian wine is the United States, with €1.9 billion, although fortunately, from what I understand, trade with Asian countries has been growing in recent years.
Thank you for reading, I hope my post was interesting and my photos too, see you next time!!

This grape plantation is an incredibly beautiful sight. It fascinates me every time. I have seen you post it before. I really want to visit this garden. I wish you all the best and I want to tell you that you can participate in this contest by adding the location of this garden to the Steam Atlas.
