What is the main vegetable in your country and in which season is it produced?

All vegetables are predominant in Bangladesh. However, some of the main vegetables in Bangladesh are tomato, brinjal, radish, gourd, bitter gourd, shrimp, sisinga, dhundul, data, puishak, sweet pumpkin, cauliflower, cabbage, fenugreek, beans, turnip etc. There are different types of main vegetables such as gourd, red gourd, kalmi gourd, radish, spinach, kachu gourd etc. Each season produces one vegetable.

In summer - sweet pumpkin, data, dhundul, shrimp, sisinga, bitter gourd etc. are produced.

In rainy season - gourd, pumpkin, fenugreek, kalmi gourd, kachu gourd etc. are produced.

In winter - cauliflower, beans, cabbage, turnip, tomato, radish, red cabbage, spinach, radish, etc. are produced

How important is the selection of the season in vegetable production?

The importance of selecting the season in vegetable production is very important. Each vegetable requires different temperature, humidity and light. Each vegetable requires different weather conditions for cultivation. If you select the right season and sow the seeds at the right time, the crop yield is good. As a result of sowing the seeds at the right time, the vegetables get the required temperature, humidity and light, resulting in good yield and quality crops. If the vegetables are not produced according to the right time and season, they are spoiled. The infestation of insects in the crops increases. Moreover, the demand for crops increases in the season. There is a demand for each vegetable in each season. The demand of the buyer varies in the season. Therefore, the selection of the season is very important for vegetable production considering all aspects.

How does the production and sale of vegetables affect the economic policy of a country?

The production and sale of vegetables affect the economic policy of a country in many ways. It increases the income of farmers. Which makes the rural economy stronger. Vegetable production is an important aspect of the agricultural sector. If farmers in a country benefit from vegetable production, that country also benefits economically. As a result, the country develops economically. By increasing export income, the country progresses economically. The country enriches the economic sector by earning foreign exchange. Therefore, vegetable production and marketing play an important role in economic policy.

How important do you think the environment and soil selection are in vegetable production

I think the importance of environment and soil selection in vegetable production is immense. It is important to select the right environment and soil for vegetable production. Vegetable production is better in an open environment. Vegetable cultivation and irrigation are convenient in an open environment. And different types of vegetables are produced in different soils. Vegetable production yields better in some soils. For example, fertile loam or sandy loam soil is most suitable for crop cultivation. If the soil is not right, crop growth is stunted and the number of diseases and pests increases. So I think good environment and soil are needed for good vegetable production.
