Today we harvested the rice in our field.
Assalamu Alaikum friends, how are you? I hope you are all well. With your prayers and the infinite mercy of Allah, Alhamdulillah, I am also well. I am here with you again with a new blog. The topic of today's block is harvesting our fields.
Today we have to harvest our fields. That is why I woke up at around 5:30 am today. The reason why I woke up early in the morning is that it becomes very difficult to harvest the fields when the sun rises. That is why I will harvest the fields before the sun rises as soon as possible. But no labor was found to harvest the fields. That is why we started harvesting the fields ourselves. Due to the lack of labor, it was very late to harvest the fields. Today the temperature was very high. We had a lot of difficulty harvesting the fields today. Even though we had difficulty, we have completely harvested the fields. Because the weather is not that good now. The sky is sunny and the rain is starting to fall again. That is why I completed the fields even though I had difficulty.
Paddy harvesting, the heartbeat of our rural economy, is not just a harvest festival, it is a reflection of the Bengali way of life. When the golden sun of Hemant shimmers on the ripe paddy ears, a smile of satisfaction appears on the face of the farmer. During this time, the fields are busy with work, and the scent of new paddy fills the surroundings.
Paddy harvesting usually begins in the middle of the morning from the end of the month of Kartik. During this time, farmers go to the fields in groups, harvest the golden paddy with sickles in hand, and sing songs. This scene of paddy harvesting is both joyful and hard work. They work in the fields day after day to fill the fields with crops.
Although the use of paddy harvesting machines has increased in the modern era,Even today, rice is harvested in many places using traditional methods. While this method is laborious, it is also an integral part of rural culture. After harvesting, the rice is dried, threshed, and then baled. Each of these steps involves the tireless work of the farming family.
The joy of bringing new rice home holds a special significance in the lives of Bengalis. At this time, the hustle and bustle of making various types of pitha-puli and payes from the new rice begins in every household. Relatives, neighbors and neighbors arrive, creating a festive atmosphere.
However, there are many challenges in rice cultivation due to the adverse effects of climate change and other reasons. Floods, droughts, heavy rains, or insect attacks can take away the dreams of farmers. Therefore, the importance of modern agricultural methods and government support is essential to sustain rice cultivation and make the life of farmers easier.
Finally, it can be said that harvesting rice is not just an agricultural work, it is the bearer and carrier of Bengali culture and tradition. This golden crop is an integral part of our life and livelihood.
