This fish market occupies a large part of Bamundi Bazar. Almost all types of fish are imported here. The fish are brought fresh and frozen through transport from different areas. I have seen different types of fish here, let me share the details with you.

The fish are sold in different categories and sitting in lines, like here the poor man is selling Hilsa silver fish. The fish are still fresh. Due to selling fish for a long time, it is seen that some fish die at the end of the day and they are sold. Due to the large number of people coming and buying fish, all the fish sellers' fish are sold.

Hilsa is the national fish of Bangladesh.

When you come to this fish market, you will see the famous national fish of Bangladesh, Hilsa, being sold. The price of Hilsa fish actually varies depending on its weight. The price of small fish is a little lower, while the price of large Hilsa is a little higher. I saw Hilsa fish weighing 300 g to 2 kg here. There were about 8-10 Hilsa fish sellers. Those who were selling Hilsa fish were only selling Hilsa fish and were not selling any other fish. On the other side, it can be seen that there are some fish sellers who are selling different types of fish such as tilapia, koi, shrimp, pangasius, etc.

I noticed one more thing in the market and that is if you buy big fish then you can cut the fish from here and take it home. They charge 30 taka per fish which is equivalent to 2 steams as a fee. I noticed that there are about two people who are only there to cut and clean the fish. They cut and clean the big fish in the market and give them to the fish buyers in their bags. We bought a fish and they cut it very nicely and cut it to size and cleaned it and removed the fish scales. This is really a nice system which has provided more convenience to the fish buyers.

There are many other types of fish whose prices I don't know.-

This fish market is so big that people from 15 to 20 villages come here to do business and also buy fish at the fish market. It is a permanent fish shop in the market where fish is available every day, but there are some special days when the most fish sellers are seen. On Fridays and Mondays, a large amount of fish is imported and there is a crowd of fish buyers and sellers. On other days, a few meat sellers can be seen here along with the fish market.

Your description filled my heart It felt like I was standing in the vibrant atmosphere of Bamundi Bazaar. The shiny silver color of fresh hilsa, the piles of different types of fish, and the wonderful arrangement of 30 taka for cutting fish—you have depicted everything so perfectly that the picture of the market has become clear before my eyes. In particular, you have enriched the article by mentioning the economic and social aspects of the market—such as the coming and going of people from different villages and the crowds on Fridays and Mondays. Your detailed description is truly remarkable
