Greetings, love & respect to all of my steemian friends

I am @saifuddinmahmud from Bangladesh. There is a beautiful and amazing contest. The name of the contest is Harvest season in my area. The contest organised by @edgargonzalez I am going to share my opinion. I hope everyone will like my post.

We all have some type of vegetable in our daily food menu. We all like vegetables more or less. Vegetables are available in all seasons. There are some types of vegetables that are more available in season. Then there are some vegetables that are available all year round.

How do you know when a product is in harvest season?

There is an easy way to understand which crops are being produced according to which season. At this time, farmers produce more of these crops. Those fruits are more on the tree. Almost every tree bears fruit. The cultivation of those crops increases in the land and those crops are seen more in the land. Those products are seen selling more in the market. All those crops are easily available in the market and their price is low. People buy and eat those crops more.

What factors can influence harvest time?

Various natural, economic and social factors can affect the time of harvest. Dry and favorable temperature periods are usually the best time to harvest. Excessive rain can damage the crop or delay the harvest. In case of sudden disasters, the crop is harvested early, thus avoiding losses. If seeds are not planted, irrigation and fertilizer are not received at the right time, the crop may mature late, resulting in a delay in the time of harvest. Harvesting depends on market conditions and prices. If the price is good, many people harvest the crop early and sell it, while if the price is low, many people wait. The time of harvesting is determined by the natural conditions, type of crop, market and labor conditions.

What fruits are currently being harvested in your community?

Currently, jackfruit production is going on in our country. Along with this, lemon, guava, mango, etc. are also available in large quantities in the market. All these are available nearby. Farmers are taking special care of these fruit trees.

Can these harvested products be sold at the same price as when they are not in harvest season.

According to the season, the price of any vegetable and fruit is low. But any crop and fruit outside the season is less available in the market. Even if they are available, the price of all of them is much higher. The price of crops in non-season is higher than in season. Tomatoes and carrots are more available in winter and their price is low. But now there are many price. In season, 1 kg of tomatoes costs 30 taka but now the price is 170 taka. The price of carrots is 40 taka in season but now the price is 160 taka. The price is much higher because it is not in season.
