HAPPY NEW YEAR | Starting 2018 at a fresh waterfall | Sweet places in Brazil #1
Hi Steemit!
Who has never wanted to start the year by letting go what is nothing but the past?
Normally, on the first day of the year, I spend my day in bed with a huge hangover. But this year, it was different. No explosive party! I wanted to be there, a little more with myself, a little more inside.
For the dinner we prepared a good meal and a nice table for our friends and family.
The next day after breakfast, we went walking to the waterfall. Suddenly on the way it started to rain very hard!
When we arrived in the forest, we were already completely wet.
We all jump in the cold water! Waa! What a life-giving feeling, cold water and heavy rain falling on our heads.
Everyone was laughing like a child. It was a beautiful moment.
Wash the erergy!
The waters wich come from the mountains, crossing the rocks and flowing into the waterfalls, offers the body unparalleled vigor. Those who receive this energy can overcome their lack of courage and tiredness left our bodies as soon as we enter the waterfall. Not bad, to go with this positive vibe.
Since our own human body consists of about 70% or more of water, water also has the ability to conduct energy.
Therefore, this true natural solvent can and should be used not only for the hygiene of the physical body, but also as a way to energize and cleanse our chakras and aura.
@rhavi in a meditative moment
We felt so lucky when we so the sun come out from behind the clouds; time to dry up and enjoy the heat!
I also enjoyed the few rays of sun to take the photos o the way back.
The Spot
In this photo you can see the first waterfall of the river, coming directly from the mountain.
The place where we were bathing is a little further down in the forest.
This montain called "Serra da Moeda" is situated in Minas Gerais (Brazil), 40 km from Belo Horizonte the capital of this region.
Altitudinal variations are between 700 and 2000 m above sea level and are situated in the region of the sources of the Velhas (east) and Paraopeba (west) rivers, both tributaries of the São Francisco River.
It occupies a strategic region in relation to the hydric resources of the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte.
This water is one of the best in the region; totally pure! But its resources are nowadays heavily manipulated by the recent establishment of one of the Coca-Cola factories a few kilometers away.
It diminishises little by little... 😔
Experts are unanimous in saying that mountain regions are one of the most fragile areas of the planet and have been permanently degraded. Its resources, especially water and biodiversity, are fundamental to the quality of life of the population. The variations of altitude, soil, climate and vegetation, in short distances, are propitious to the occurrence of diverse ecosystems of great biodiversity.
An amazing kind of vegetation
This type of vegetation that we see on the photo is the "Cerrado", characterized especially by the savannah biome, but also by seasonal forest and field.
The cerrado has the particularity to burn every year during the drought and then come back to life very quickly during the rainy season.
Its vegetation is resistant and very rich. In this rainy season we can admire several kinds of flowers.
Belongs to the Bromelia family
On the way back we stopped to eat gabirobas. It's a Brazilian shrubbery that gives small fruits with a bitter skin and a delicious and sweet price.
It is rich in carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, niacin and vitamins C and B complex. It has therapeutic properties such as astringent, antidiarrheal, anti-influenza, anti-inflammatory.
When I arrived home I felt clean, invigorated and in harmony with myself, the others and my environment!
It was so good to start de year like this. It gave me a cleaner vision and the courage to open myself to new goals and motivations.
I wish you the best for this new cycle! I wish you that your desires flow like fresh water 💦
