Rain, Rivers & Real Life

Today was a tale of two walks, and a little bit of unexpected real-life drama.

Walk one: while waiting for my wife at an appointment, I pulled up AllTrails and stumbled on a short trail that winds along a tiny river. Turns out, this little stream is ecologically important, even though I didn’t even know it existed in our village! It was a quiet, lovely path, until it suddenly wasn’t. I came across a woman kneeling over an elderly man who had collapsed right in the road. She stayed with him, I directed traffic, and we kept things safe until the ambulance arrived. Thankfully, they said he would be okay.
