I'm also interested to hear whether or not you had to patch the bag when mending it... They tend to fray so much there's often not enough fabric to 'take in' for the seam.

    Ah, I just did a double fold and sew it down. And because it is a shopping bag, the โ€˜lookโ€™ outcome did not matter much. Haha.
