SLC26-W6 | Brownie.
Brownie! This is such a wonderful challenge @forest, and it just came at the right time for me. It's my baby girl's birthday tomorrow, and it's a wonderful way to mark a little celebration at home. Brownies has been one of my favourite desserts because of the intense cocoa taste in it. It is always a yes to me whenever it is offered. So, let's go do this challenge.
Make a brownie, they can be filled or unfilled, with or without topping (include ingredients, quantities and step by step)
The following are the ingredients I used and the procedures I followed.
Ingredients
All-purpose Flour (1 cup)
Butter (125 grams)
Eggs (3 pieces)
Cocoa powder (2/3 cups or 1/3 cups x 2)
Sugar (1 cup)
Vanilla (1 teaspoon)
Coffee powder (2 tablespoons)
Peanuts
Chocolate and cream chips for frosting
Procedure
Step 1: measure and scale all your ingredients and set them separately for an easy process.
Step 2: In a clean, dry pot, add in the 125 grams of butter and melt it on a low heat until it is completely dissolved.
Step 3: once the butter is dissolved, bring it down and add in the 2/3 cups of cocoa powder. Stir it until the cocoa powder and the melted butter are well combined.
Step 4: next, add in the 1 cup of sugar and stir to combine as well.
Step 5: then, add in 1 teaspoon of vanilla flavour and 2 tbsp of the coffee powder and mix well until they are fully combined. This will definitely intensify the cocoa flavour in this recipe.
Step 6: add in the eggs, one at a time, into the mixture until they are well incorporated.
Step 7: then, add in the flour at once and mix everything together until the batter is well mixed.
Step 8: for a little top-notch, add some peanut, almond nuts, or chocolate chips into the batter mix and combine well.
Step 9: grease the baking pan with butter and dust with cocoa powder, and then pour in the batter.
Step 10: transfer the pan into a preheated oven at about 180°C and bake it for about 15-20 minutes. When it is ready, the brown colour will intensify. Place the brownies on a cooling rack and allow to cool off before adding the chocolate ganache and topping of your choice.
Voilà! Brownie is ready.
When you tried the brownie, what was your experience like? Did you like it? Explain your answer in detail.
The experience was wonderful. The process was simple and less strenuous. From the start to the finish, there were no forms of difficulty. The process was that of expectancy. I got marvel after adding the eggs. There's this kind of elasticity in the batter that I have never seen before.
The taste of this brownie was out of this world. As of the time I was typing this, it has already been consumed. My family loves it, especially my birthday girl.
Do you want a second edition of "hands on"? What are the 6 recipes you'd like to learn in a second edition of these challenges?
