Excitement Propelled Post: They Grow up Fast

Being a mother and a worker I tell you isn't the very best of combos. But it's surprising how a good number of women still choose that combination, myself not exempted. So, recognising my present 'stature', I sometimes forget all the 'stories' about reducing screentime for kids and allow my 19 months old boy watch cartoons and songs on any smartphone available. This is usually simply to make him stay at a place while I do what I must around the house but little did I know that he's carefully or rather effortlessly memorising my navigation around the phone each time.

So, one of those days, I was busy waiting for him to call out to me to come help him play one of his favourites on my phone only to meet a rather humbling surprise.

After waiting for a call out for help in his self developed language (or what do I call that bla bla bla sounds he makes)like he always did and getting none, I decided to quietly check on him. To my biggest surprise, my little one with his tiny index finger is gradually but carefully navigating his way to his favourite cartoon ON MY PHONE! How on earth did he single out that cartoon app out of the many apps on the phone?!🧐 And the harder part: how did he get to pick out his favourite show among the many shows on the package?!😲

As I stood feeling surprised with tinges of disbelief, it dawned on me that my little adorable baby boy is growing up and will soon have a mind of his own. My tears dropped,hot but happy.❣️
